On 11th May, I announced my Mayoralty bid and started campaigning immediately following.
During that five months, I have held some 500 campaign meetings, participated in many Mayoral debates, and held ‘Community Matters’ meetings in many Tauranga suburbs.
None of this would have been possible without the immense support I have had from so many in this wonderful city.
I have met business leaders, community leaders, iwi Kaumatua, members of the Indian community, the arts community, those who look after our homeless, youth leaders, and many others.
And I simply wanted to say thanks ahead of voting results tomorrow. I’m very grateful to one and all for so generously giving of your time and for so openly discussing the issues the matter to you.
Also my big thanks for all the calls, emails, texts and messages. I’ve tried to respond to you all and am grateful for your support.
There is still time to vote. For change. For Better Leadership. For what this city deserves.
I’m hard wired to make a difference. And my campaign has been in response to the calls for sweeping change.
Let’s bring this home. Together.
