Big thumbs up to Phillip Brown, Heidi Hughes and the organisers of the Bayfair Shopping Centre underpass rally which attracted some 1000 residents from 9 to 90 years of age.
But why were we all there today? Fighting for something that our Elected Members should have been fighting for from the outset? Where has the advocacy been for Regional Cooperation, and a relationship with NZTA by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor?
This abject lack of leadership in #Tauranga has to end this election.
It’s time for a Mayor who advocates for our city every day, who has exisiting long-standing relationships with central government, and who has the strength of character not to be rolled on the things that matter to the welfare of our residents.
Tauranga Deserves Better Leadership
It’s time . . .
