MENTORING FOR GOOD - MEET DAYNE GEAR

Nurturing and empowering our youth to achieve their full potential is a privilege and one that should be treated with the greatest care.

Sadly, mentoring can be used to shape young minds negatively and in the wrong hands a narcissistic mentor can influence a young mind for all the wrong reasons. We have seen ample evidence of this during the Tauranga elections.

Good mentoring, on the other hand, is about empowerment, support and guidance. And it is something I care deeply about.

Meet 19 year old Dayne Gear, who I met in June and have had the privilege to mentor during my campaign.

I look forward to continuing my support of Dayne throughout his business degree at the University of Waikato.

If I win the Tauranga Mayoralty, I look forward to leading initiatives that better support our youth - the leaders of tomorrow.

TAURANGA DESERVES BETTER LEADERSHIP
