Great to see Heidi Huges (running as a councillor-at-large this election) advocating for the Bayfair underpass. It is inconceivable to me not to include this in the roading plan.
While this is a NZTA project, and not TCC’s, greater regional cooperation and stronger relationship building and advocacy by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor is clearly very necessary to ensure decisions of this nature don’t impact Tauranga residents - and our children who will be constant users of an underpass. Making them cross the road is just plain unacceptable!
