I’m very pleased to see this sensible and pragmatic decision and I look forward to developing a stronger relationship with the BOP Regional Council in the future.
I will certainly be championing the extension of the one year free school buses trial and will support it becoming a permanent service in our city.
The beneficial combination of contributing to alleviating some of the congestion on our roads, affordability for parents and nurturing multi-modal transport habits by our kids is undeniable.
Initiatives like these need proactive partnership discussions to ensure better outcomes for our city. I look forward to leading conversations of this nature for our kids, our parents and all residents.
